Think of prebiotics as food for your gut’s good bacteria - like fertiliser helping to grow these healthy microbes that, in turn, will boost your digestion, absorb nutrients and keep your immune system strong to fight off infections. You'll find plenty of them in this smoothie - apple, oats, walnuts, almonds along with brain-boosting brazils and berries packed with anti-oxidants. Serves 1.

Ingredients

100g seasonal fresh berries (or mixed frozen berries)

1 apple, peeled

30g oats

2 walnuts

1 brazil nut

1 heaped tbs greek yoghurt

1 tsp chia seeds

250ml almond milk


  1. Place everything in your blender's cup (Nutribullet / Ninja) and blend until smooth.
